The Bowl came up against loads of opposition when plans were submitted to the local planning office, but thankfully after several meetings with the men in grey suits, permission was granted.
Then came the endless task of raising funds to build the thing. No monies were put up front from the local council....if the guys wanted it so badly then they would have to provide the funds. The skaters all banded together to raise cash any way they could. Bags of cement were sold to anyone and everyone with the cement then being donated back to the fund.

The local police have applauded the group of guys who have fought so hard to make their dream a reality. The Bowl provides the guys with a safe, self policed, environment in which they can skate safely.

Its also an Awesome hang out, learning and general social area
